RECOM K-Series AC/DCs now include 140W Part with 210W Boost Power

|18 November 2024

The new RACM140E-K range from RECOM of universal input AC/DCs is the balanced ratio of feeding dynamic power needs versus reliability and at competitive pricing at less restricted space conditions.

The range includes single output parts at 12, 15, 24, 36 and 48VDC rated 140W continuous (36V/136.8W) and 210W peak for ten seconds, to suit loads with high surge current on start up or in normal operation. Each output can be adjusted with a board-mounted trim potentiometer. Input AC range is universal, 80-264VAC.

The RACM140E-K range is available as open frame or as enclosed versions sized 147 x 81.5 x 38mm (40mm enclosed) with mechanical fixings in industry-standard 3‘’x 5’’ footprints. Pin headers are provided for inputs and outputs, but push-in connectors are an option for the enclosed versions, for easy integration in the end application.

Safety certifications include IEC/EN60335-1, IEC/EN62368-1, and for medical applications, IEC/EN ANSI/AAMI 60601-1 rated 2MOPP with low touch and leakage currents for BF connections. ‘Class B’ EMC performance is met for conducted emissions with a wide margin. The parts can be used in pollution degree 2 environments and are rated for over-voltage category III up to 2000m altitude and OVC II up to 5000m. The operating temperature is -40°C to +90°C in natural convection, with variant-dependent derating. No load consumption is typically just 100mW and the parts meet eco-design requirements for loads in standby mode.

The RACM140E-K range features advanced design techniques resulting in reliable products, backed up with a three-year warranty, that offer an MTBF figure of 440kHrs at 25°C according to MIL-HDBK-217, GB conditions.
