Reach Statement
To Our Valued Customers,
REACH is the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use
(EC 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction
of Chemical substances. The law entered into force on 1 June 2007.
The aim of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment
through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical
substances. At the same time, REACH aims to enhance innovation and competitiveness
of the EU chemicals industry. The benefits of the REACH system will come gradually, as
more and more substances are phased into REACH.
Based on REACH directive, Nijkerk Electronics, being a distributor of electronic
components, is not a manufacturer or importer of chemical products and also does
not distribute these.
The components supplied by Nijkerk Electronics will not release any substance
mentioned in the REACH regulation under normal and reasonably foreseeable
circumstances of application.
Nijkerk Electronics does not intend to register any substances as we do not sell
substances, preparations nor articles containing any substances that are intended to
be released at any time.
Being a distributor without any development and manufacturing responsibility,
Nijkerk Electronics totally relies on the manufacturers declarations according to
obligations under REACH.
Nijkerk Electronics is following the developments and working closely with our
suppliers involved with REACH requirements in order to have the latest information
about the components we are supplying.
Due to the complexity of this issue and the number of products and manufacturers
we kindly ask for your understanding that we are not able to answer customerspecific
questionnaires nor sign any general and comprehensive statement on our
behalf.
