Updated software simplifies power supply design, supports HiperLCS™ and TOPSwitch™-JX product families
The latest update to Power Integrations’ popular power supply design software, PI Expert Suite (v8.5), adds support for the company’s new HiperLCS family of high-frequency LLC converter ICs, as well as the recently-introduced TOPSwitch-JX family of integrated offline switcher ICs.
PI Expert dramatically simplifies the design process by delivering:
- A complete interactive power supply schematic
- An optimized power transformer design and automated documentation
- A complete bill of materials
- Thermal calculations and heatsink recommendations
- PCB layout recommendations based on the device and package chosen
PI Expert provides all of the information required to build a power supply, including EMI suppression and magnetic components, and thermal management hardware, reducing the number of iterations required and helping to ensure that proper PCB layout techniques are used.
